Astrid

Mia is a New York based actress, voiceover artist, and acting coach. Mia’s work spans from voice-over ads, video games , feature films, Off-Broadway productions, commercials, and award-winning web series.

Mia received her MFA from the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. She is owner and acting instructor at CGL Studios. Mia is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA and a subcommittee member of NextGen Performers NY.

Claire

Teresa Hui is an actor-singer-musician, and a native of Brooklyn, NY. She is absolutely thrilled to be part of the Dark Valley family as Claire! As a voice actor, she can be heard in the ADR loop group for Warrior on Cinemax, Beachbody infomercials, multiple podcasts including Mouse Rants (starring in two of the show's musicals), and the audio drama Prototype World of Tomorrow (nominated for an Audio Verse Award for Performance in a Supporting Role in a New Audio Play Production). Teresa played Amy Farrah Fowler in the Off-Broadway production of The Big Bang Theory: A Pop-Rock Musical Parody. TV/film credits include Power Book II: Ghost (Starz), The First Wives Club (BET+), Difficult People (Hulu), Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (NBC), PBS Great Performances: Candide (starring Kristin Chenoweth and Patti Lupone), That's What She Said (Sundance Film Festival), and The Unity of All Things (Locarno Film Festival). She is a National Anthem singer for the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Westchester Knicks, and New York Road Runners, and has sung the anthem for many races including the TCS New York City Marathon. She has kept herself very busy during quarantine, and has performed in many virtual plays and concerts. Teresa plays ukulele, guitar and upright bass, and likes to record videos of herself singing covers of pop songs while accompanying herself on these instruments (sometimes throwing in a random kazoo). Teresa placed 3rd in Amateur Night for Showtime at the Apollo.

Jim Yue

Hal

Jim is excited to be a part of the Dark Valley Podcast team and this great project; "The Grace Hypothesis". He received his B.A. in Theatre from Arizona State University and lived and performed in NYC in the productions: Making Tracks (Off-Broadway), Voice of the Dragon: Once Upon a Time in Chinese America (National Tour), The Special Prisoner (Playwrights Theater of N.J.), Jim currently lives in Oregon and has been seen performing Father Alexandrios in CGOAs production of Mamma Mia as well as Selsdon in Noises Off. Jim loves living in the Columbia Gorge in Oregon with his wife, two sons, five cats, and various farm animals.

Peter DeGiglio

Peter DeGiglio is a New York City based voice actor whose client list has included Wal-Mart, IHOP, Liberty Mutual, and Goldman Sachs. He is perhaps best known for his role as "The Goblin" in the Blizzard video game World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. You can also currently hear him as self help guru slash alien abductee Dr. Stephen Sombers in the Venus Radio Theater podcast episode, "Destroy All Humans," streaming now.

Elsbeth Denman (Zurek)

Director/ Producer

Elsbeth is a New Jersey native who grew up performing. While dance brought her to the stage, Acting and production kept her there. A jack of many trades, Elsbeth has credits as an actor, stage manager, producer and director. She holds a BA from King’s College in Directing/ Acting, and an MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City. Since graduating, Elsbeth has become a full blown podcaster, with around 100 podcast appearances under her belt. She and her husband Mark are thrilled to finally be able to share their project, Dark Valley with listeners everywhere.

 

Mark Zurek

Narrator

Mark Zurek is a Pennsylvania-born writer and performer whose credits include Kalino Kahananui on the Protean City Comics podcast, writing and acting in the award-nominated The Adventures of Harry Flynn radio drama, as well as several Shakespeare and contemporary stage roles. A graduate of King's College and Binghamton University with degrees in Mathematics, Mark has nevertheless pursued creative writing as a passion. Dark Valley is his first scripted podcast for whom he is the head writer and narrator.
